In addition to caring about ADHD, CHADD cares about your privacy. CHADD believes that you have the right to know what information is being collected about you when you visit our site, and what is done with that information. The terms of this policy will govern the use of any information collected while the policy is in place. This policy applies only to the online collection of information – different policies and practices may exist with regards to the offline collection of information by CHADD. Additionally, this privacy policy only applies to the CHADD site. Sites which are linked to or from this site may have different privacy policies. Collection of Information

CHADD collects two (2) kinds of information – personally identifiable information that you choose to supply us, and non-personally identifiable information, such as your IP address.

Personally Identifiable Information

CHADD does not collect personally identifiable information without your knowledge. Personally identifiable information at our site is collected by prompt only. CHADD may collect personally identifiable information such as your email address, name, mailing address, telephone number, facsimile number, credit card information or other information to enable you to receive newsletters, complete membership registrations, participate in chat rooms or on bulletin boards, or to purchase goods. From time to time, we may request information from you via surveys. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary; you have a choice whether or not to disclose the requested information. Contact information may be used to satisfy website user requests, notify users regarding changes to the website or website policies, or provide further information about CHADD products and services. Survey information will be used for the purposes of monitoring or improving use and satisfaction of the CHADD web site and may be aggregated in an anonymous manner. Any information you give to CHADD will be held with the utmost care, and will not be used in ways that you have not consented to by accepting the terms of this privacy policy.

Non-Personally Identifiable Information

CHADD does collect anonymous browser information from visitors to the site. This information is not personally identifiable and is not linked to any individual person. To collect this information, when you visit our website, we may store information in the form of a “cookie” on your computer. CHADD may also collect information through IP addresses or environmental variables. An “IP address” is a number used by computers on the network to identify your computer so that data can be transmitted to you. “Environmental variables” include, among other things, the domain from which you access the Internet, the time of your visit to our website, the type of Browser and operating system or platform used, the Internet address of the websites you visit previously and subsequently to visiting the CHADD website, and the pages you visit while at our website. We collect this information to allow us to detect broad demographic trends, to provide information tailored to your interests and to enhance your experience on the CHADD site. This information may be aggregated in an anonymous manner.

The information we collect in connection with our online forums and communities is used to provide an interactive experience.
