Most simply up the URL is the internet address of a web page.  It tells the webmaster exactly where you are requesting changes to be made.

It’s much more accurate than “You know that page where all the Baltimore events are listed?”… which might, in fact, be several different pages.  We want to make the changes you request and not completely different ones!

How to find the URL

Below are two examples of the location of the URL for two different CHADD-MC.org web pages.

You’ll find the URL near the very top of the screen as shown at the left.

The URL of the page at the left is

http://www.chadd-mc.org/

URL in FIreFox

FireFox?

The URL is still at the top of the page, but it probably looks more like the picture at the left.

http://www.chadd-mc.org/2009/baltimore-november/

How to copy the URL

  • Put your cursor in the box that contains the URL
  • Highlight the whole field.
  • Then click Edit | Copy   (Or use Control + C)
  • Go to the form where you want to paste the URL
  • Put the cursor in the field on the form (or in an email you want to send) and click  Edit | Paste  (Or use Control + V)
