followed by discussion and informal supportThough reaching out for support can make a world of difference for any family coping with ADHD, it is not always true that support feels supportive. There are times when well intentioned professionals (doctors, therapists, teachers, etc.) and / or family members can make attempts to help that result in frustration.
This presentation will focus on skills which help parents to better assess what is happening in these sometimes complicated relationships and to overcome conflict, misunderstanding, and painful interactions. Our aim will be to find ways to be able to get the kind of support that is truly needed and to reduce frustration.
