The study involves an IQ test, paper and pencil tasks, computer activities, and an MRI of the brain. None of the tests are harmful or painful and all are done free of charge. There are no direct medical benefits for participating in the study, although each participant will receive a $50 check and a picture of their brain.

Parents will also receive a report summarizing the results of the IQ testing administered to their child, which can be used as part of a diagnostic work-up or for educational purposes . This study has been reviewed and approved by the Johns Hopkins Institutional Review Board (Principal Investigator: Stewart Mostofsky, MD). The study is currently listed on the main CHADD website.

If you have any questions, or would like to hear more about the study, please call or email me at (443) 923-9254 or koenigl@kennedykrieger.org.
